[Also in Group XXIX] A thermostatically-controlled hot and cold liquid mixing valve (see Group XXIX), is provided with a temperature-responsive element comprising a bimetallic strip 24 connected at one end to the movable valve member 7 and having at the other end a captive nut 26 for adjustment by a manual control knob 33, this strip being fulcrumed on a second bimetallic strip 29 secured at one end 28 to the valve body and resting freely on the body at the other end. The element also constitutes a spring for loading the valve in one direction.
