Abstract

The invention comprises amides of the formula <FORM:0901891/IV (b)/1> (wherein R1, R2 and R3 are hydrogen atoms or hydrocarbon radicals and R4 is a hydrocarbon radical) and their preparation by reaction of the appropriate acid chloride with the appropriate amine. Examples are given. In the Provisional Specification R1, R2 and R3 are defined as hydrogen atoms or hydrocarbon radicals, optionally substituted, and R4 is defined as a hydrocarbon radical, optionally substituted. Specification 901,880 is referred to.
