[Also in Group XIII] An assembly of convection air-heating tubes 1 is adapted to be positioned in front of a heat source such as an open fire 3, gas or electric fire and serves also as a fire-guard. The assembly may, as shown, be mounted on hinges 14 so that it may be swung away for access to the fire or it may be mounted on a freestanding frame or mesh screen to be stood on the floor in front of the fire. The tubes 1 may be made of light transmitting material such as glass or may have polished exterior surfaces.
