Abstract

901,780. Tables &c. GOLLER, A. Jan. 9, 1961 [Jan. 8, 1960], No. 787/61. Class 52 (3). The central support of a table adjustable in height comprises outer and inner tubes 1, 2 having balls 5 therebetween guided by channels 6 in tube 2. At least one of the tubes, which are of metal or plastic, can be resiliently deformed by pressure to allow introduction of the balls which are under compression between the tubes. The tubes may be secured against relative motion by wedges 9 rotatable by means of a handle 10, Fig. 3.
