Abstract
899,129. Making cycle parts; stamping. HADEN BROS. Ltd. Feb. 4, 1961, No. 4289/61. Classes 83 (2) and 83 (4). The radiused edges of a cycle fork crown are formed as square cut corners by the method of placing the crown between two dies and upsetting the metal of the crown into the corners of one die. One die comprises blocks 11, 13 and 16, a sharp corner being formed at 15, and the ram-operated block 16 including an ejector 17. A block 7 forms the lower die, the finished crown 1 with square cut corners 5 being shown in Fig. 6.
