897,366. Hose couplings. TITEFLEX Inc. Sept. 11, 1958 [Oct. 31, 1957], No. 29189/58 Class 99(1). A re-usable hose fitting assembly for a braidcovered flexible hose 26 made of plastic, e.g. P.T.F.E., comprises a body 10 with a fluid line connector 12 brazed at one end, and a tubular insert 11 at the other end for full insertion into the hose 26 and having an outside surface 28 diverging towards a shoulder 24 on the body 10 and flaring the end portion of the hose 26, a frusto-conical steel ring 40 being inserted between the braid 36 and the plastic tube 34 and deformed by an internally tapered clamping
