Abstract

896,181. Road vehicle undercarriages. CRANES (DEREHAM) Ltd. July 29, 1958, No. 24466/58. Class 108(2). A pneumatic spring suspension for a road vehicle comprises gas filled bags 12 which are interposed between the chassis 1 and trailing arms 7, and are interconnected via surge tanks 14 and pipe 18. A duplicate arrangement is provided on the other side of the vehicle and each pneumatic system is provided with a chassis height control valve 15 which is operated by a rod 16 and lever 17. If. required the rods 16 on each side of the vehicle can be linked together.
