Abstract
895,652. Semi-conductor devices. TELEFUNKEN G.m.b.H. July 23, 1958 [July 23, 1957], No. 23795/58. Class 37. A lead to an electrode of a semi-conductor device comprises a thin flat strip having a surface predominantly of silver, preferably an alloy of 80% silver, 20% copper, bent in the form shown in Fig. 2 and tinned at both ends by being dipped in a tinning bath held at such a temperature that a predetermined amount of tinning material is retained on the bend 13. The bent end of the lead is pressed on to the electrode by means of pointed soldering tool and the other end of the lead is secured to a more robust wire sealed through the casing, as shown in Fig. 1.
