Abstract
895,651. Bottling. SEITZ-WERKE G.m.b.H. May 27, 1958 [May 28, 1957], No. 16798/58. Class 125(2). In a counterpressure machine having filling heads each including a liquid valve 17 normally held on its seat 38 by pressure within the reservoir 11 but opened by a spring 46 when the bottle has been pressurized after opening of gas valve 24, upward movement of the bottle into engagement with the head raises a member 33 which abuts and lifts a rod 26 carrying valve 24 to open it. When valve 24 is lifted gas from the reservoir flows to the bottle through apertures 48, 49 and pipe 19. When the bottle is filled, a fixed trip meets a projection 43 on member 33 and rotates it so that rod 26 can drop under the influence of spring 28 into a recess 44 in the member and this closes the gas and liquid valves. Shift valve 31 is then actuated and the bottle is lowered, another fixed trip resetting member 33.
