895,111. Laminates; coated tabrics. WADDINGTON Ltd., JOHN, and GAUNT, T. N. May 5, 1958 [Feb. 5, 1957], No. 4002/57. Class 140. [Also in Group XVII] A coating of polythene or P.V.C. forming a liner or overwrap for a paper or cardboard container is formed on or applied to the container web or blank so as to overlap the web or the blank in at least two directions. The coating may be formed by hot extrusion, cast coating, calendering, or forcing the plastic through heated rollers rotating at different speeds. The coating may be supported on a backing-sheet of paper treated with silicone resin and subsequently transferred to the container blanks. Alternatively a continuous web of stock for the blanks may be passed through a film-forming device.
