Abstract
894,217. Primary cells. FERGUSON BATTERY CO. Ltd. Nov. 7, 1960 [Nov. 20, 1959; March 1, 1960], Nos. 39502/59 and 7232/60. Class 53. A primary cell has a charge indicator, as shown an auxiliary electrode 14, contacted by electrolyte when the zinc electrode 3 is sufficiently wasted. In other embodiments a connector is secured to the zinc to break off when the zinc has been consumed so far. In one case the connector is used for voltage tests, in the other it is spring-loaded to break an indicator plate.
