Natural or synthetic rubber, polyvinyl chloride or polyethylene has an insect-or rodent-repellent incorporated therein. The repellant may be, e.g. aldrin, dialdrin, dodecyl alcohol, lead naphthenate or trinitrotoluene. The material comprises one of the coverings of an electric cable (see Group XXXVI). Specification 707,133 is referred to.
