A horizontal beam 13 of an overhead-travelling crane is supported by a horizontal beam 1 with wheels 2, two vertical arms 4 carrying rollers 6 and a horizontal beam 7 to which the beam 13 is attached. The beam 7 supports mechanism which drives the crane and has a vertical leg 10 which carries lower support rollers 12 in a pivoted carriage 11. The beam 13 carries a track-way for a crab or trolley.
