Abstract

890,996. Electromagnetic relays. ASSOCIATED ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. Nov. 18, 1959 [Dec. 10, 1958], No. 39883/58. Class 38 (5). [Also in Group XXXV] For adjustably biasing the armature of a relay there is provided a permanent magnet 7, e.g. of an anisotropio alloy or barium ferrite, rotatable between polepieces 8 so as to provide a variable force on the armature which opposes the attraction due to an energizing coil 3. The polepieces are secured to a non-magnetic plate 6 and each has a stopscrew 10. Normal spring or gravity biasing may be used in addition.
