Abstract
A feed supplement comprises a mixture of a high melting-point fat, i.e. one melting between 45 DEG C. and 95 DEG C., one or more fat-soluble vitamins such as vitamin A or D, and the unrefined water-insoluble portion of the condensate obtained in the deodourization of vegetable oils by high vacuum steam distillation; other feed additives such as mineral supplements may also be added. The mixture is prepared by adding the various ingredients to the molten fat, the vitamins being added last, and then spray chilling to form small granules; alternatively a chilled block of the solidified material or flakes formed by chilling a hot solution on a chill roll are ground to the desired size.
