Abstract

The affinity of stereoregular polyolefin filaments or other shaped articles for disperse, basic or acid dyestuffs is increased by treating them with nitrogen dioxide. The treatment is preferably effected at elevated pressure and temperature and on the spun filaments prior to drawing. Specifications 810,023 and 876,045 are referred to.ALSO:The affinity of stereoregular polyolefin filaments or other shaped articles for disperse, basic or acid dyestuffs is increased by treating them with nitrogen dioxide. The treatment is preferably effected at elevated pressure and temperature and on the spun filaments prior to drawing. Specifications 810,023 and 876,045 are referred to.
