Abstract

886,128. Dry cleaning apparatus. PETRICH, E. Oct. 29, 1959, No. 36689/59. Addition to 824,474. Class 138 (2). The apparatus described in the parent Specification is provided with a circulating system for soap solution, this system including a lower tank 43, an upper tank 44 and a filter 51 and being separate from the circulating system for solvent recovery. The solvent recovery system includes a still 19 and heat exchanger 22. A pipe-line 55 interconnecting the upper and lower soap solution tanks ensures that soap solution is constantly pumped through the filter 51 even when all the solution from tank 43 has been pumped into tank 44. Soap solution in tank 44 can be supplied to the machine 10 for re-use, by means of a valve 54 and pipe 13. Clean solvent from tank II can be introduced into tank 43 through a pipe 14, drum 10 and pipes 36, 35.
