Abstract
886,052. Adjusting radio receiving apparatus. LOEWE OPTA A.G. Sept. 10, 1958, No. 28979/58. Class 40(5). A tuning control drive for a combined radio and television receiver, is characterized in that movement of the drive, which makes several rotations for radio tuning, is limited to a maximum of one turn for fine tuning of the television receiver. In the embodiment shown, the drive shaft 8 is coupled to the radio receiver tuning capacitor by a cord drive, and has mounted on it a cam-shaped dielectric disc 1 for fine tuning of the television receiver. A cranked arm 4, has a slot 6 in which is supported a pin 5, such that the head 3 of the disc 1 is free to pass beneath the pin when tuning the radio receiver. For television reception, the button FS is depressed, lowering the pin 5 which then prevents the disc from being turned through more than one revolution by engaging with the head 3. The control shaft 8 may be combined with the channel selection switch in the manner usual in television receivers.
