Abstract
885,918. Ventilators. BARKER, D. R., and BARKER, W. H. April 17, 1958 [Jan. 25, 1957], No. 22311/60. Divided out of 885,917. Class 137 Relates to a ventilator grille 1 of the type fitted in a vertical position into an air duct or wall opening and comprising a set of intersecting horizontal blades 2 and of vertical blades 3, forming a honeycomb of cells. According to the invention, each blade comprises a plurality of units 2a, 3a mounted on a common rod 4 and all the units of one set are V-shaped on their forward or rear edge while those of the other set are V-shaped on the opposite edge, the pivot rods 4 passing through the intersections of the V-shaped notches so that the direction of the cells formed by the blades can be adjusted by rotating the blades. The angle of the V-shaped notches is 90 degrees to allow a 90 degrees adjustment of each set of blades.
