Abstract
885,602. Aerating sewage. F. M. C. CORPORATION. Jan. 12, 1960 [Jan. 29, 1959], No. 1163/60. Classes 46 and 111. In the treatment of sewage with gases, the gas under pressure is introduced through a pipe 16 in the form of bubbles having a diameter predominantly between 5 and 30 mms. into a container 11 of such dimension that the gas is discharged into the liquid to be treated in bubbles predominantly below 5 mms.in diameter. The gas pipe can be hinged to give freedom of movement in the treatment vessel 10. Other modifications of the gas treatment device are described. Specification 885,603 is referred to.
