Abstract
885,025. Reciprocating motors. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO. Ltd., and QUILTER, D. V. April 26, 1960 [April 30, 1959], No. 14847/59. Class 35. The stray field of an electromagnetic vibrator is reduced in a region where equipment may be located for testing by a magnetic shield 19 and a D.C. coil 20. The equipment is mounted on a platform 23 attached to the moving element of the vibrator, and the coil current is adjusted by a rheostat, not shown, to provide an opposing flux of the appropriate magnitude. The device may be used with any suitable vibrator, that shown being one described in Specification 885,024.
