Abstract
884,648. Shower baths. SCHOBER, J. Feb. 26, 1960 [Feb. 28, 1959], No. 6861/60. Class 26. In shower bath apparatus comprising at least one foot bellows, e.g. 1, compressible and then expandible to its original shape on ceasing to compress, connected, through a first non-return valve 5 opening away from it, to a pipe 3<SP>1</SP> leading to the shower head 2, and also, through a second such valve 4 opening towards it, to a supply pipe 3, the valves 4, 5 are mounted in the region of the respective ends of the bellows 1. In the form shown two foot bellows, 1 and 1<SP>1</SP>, connected in parallel in approximately parallel positions comprise flexible tubes, each connected at one end to the supply pipe 3 and at the other end to the pipe 3<SP>1</SP>. Each valve may have a hollow cylindrical valve seating unit 6 that can be inserted like a plug in a pipe section 7 attached to a bellows end, a resilient valve plate 9 being seated against the end face of the unit 6 with the aid of a wire 10 running diametrally of the plate 9. The supply pipe 3 may be a flexible tube and it may carry an adjustable sleeve 13 having slots 14, 14<SP>1</SP> for thrusting it on the rim 15 of a water container 16, to obtain a friction closure between the rim and the pipe 3. The pipe 3<SP>1</SP> may discharge into a vessel 17, sealed by a lid 18 if desired, and carrying the shower head 2.
