Abstract
883,483. Joints for girders. ASSOCIATED ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. Feb. 2, 1960 [Feb. 18, 1959, No. 5659/59. Class 20(2) [Also in Group XXXVI] Lengths of channelling 6 of the type having inturned flanges 18, and intended as support girders or electric wiring trunking, are connected together by means of connector parts 1 which are inserted the ends of the channelling and secured there by screws 7 through the corners 3 of the connector parts and engaging with the inner corners 8 of the channelling. The connector parts may be shaped to act as bends, branching tees, or four-way cross junctions (Fig. 3 to 6, not shown). They may be provided with end caps (Fig. 7, not shown) and used to terminate a length of channelling. They may have side openings 10 for branch conduits, studs 11 then being provided to limit their insertion into the channelling.
