881,448. Laminates. DENTON & PARTNERS Ltd., and FREEBODY, E. H. Feb. 11, 1958 [Nov. 13, 1956], No. 34667/56. Class 140. [Also in Groups XXIII and XXXIII] A shell-like vehicle body such as a boat hull is constructed of two skins A and B in which each skin is made from strips of plywood cut so that the grain is at an angle of between 35 and 55 degrees, preferably 45 degrees, to the length of the strips. Each skin is formed with the predominating grain, i.e. the outer grain of three-ply wood, extending longitudinally of the skin and the strips of each skin are preferably at 90 degrees to one another. The two skins are bonded together by a resin adhesive and the joint preferably strengthened by a layer of fabric 7 such as scrim, muslin or netting made of natural or synthetic fibres.
