A cigarette box comprises a rectangular from A having a base 1 and side walls 2, 3, 4, 5, a cover B with lid 6 and side walls 6, 7, 8, 9 and an intermediate element 12 coupling the top edge 11 of the the tray rear wall 2 to the bottom edge 13 of the cover rear wall 7, the whole being formed of a single sheet of material e.g. by vacuum-forming form p.v.c. The box may alternatively be made by pressureforming or a combination of vacuum to pressure-forming or by moulding between male and female dies.
