Abstract
A cream for dyeing human hair is prepared by mixing predetermined quantities of aromatic diamines, aromatic nitrodiamines and/or aminophenols, in the form of their sulphuric or hydrochloric acid salts, with alkali-free inert fillers and binders, such as talcum or sugar, and compressing the mixture into tablets of uniform weight, then forming a predetermined number of tablets into a paste with hydrogen peroxide, an ammoniacal alcoholic vehicle, an ethanolamide-alkylpolyethyleneglycol ether condensation product of the formula:- <FORM:0878098/IV(c)/1> in which R is a C16-C18 alkyl radical, A is an alkyl radical and n is a whole number greater than 1, and a polyethylene glycol ether wetting agent of the formula:- RO(CH2-CH2O)nH in which R is a C16-C18 alkyl radical and n is a whole number greater than 1, and finally adding water to form a cream. The alcoholic vehicle may also contain cetyl alcohol, octyldodecanol, sorbitol and urea.
