Abstract

875,635. Road-traffic signs. JAMES, E. H. Sept. 24, 1959 [June 25, 1958], No. 2578/58. Class 3(2) [Also in Group X] A road-traffic sign or bollard, Fig. 3, is detachably mounted on a base plate 11 by a bayonet-catch coupling. The bollard is made of sheet metal or constitutes an iron or light alloy casting. The base plate may be closed by a plug when not in use, see Figs. 5 and 6 (not shown. The sign 28, Fig. 7, may be internally illuminated and the base plate provided with the necessary connections 35, each member 38 comprising an opening having a reflector mounted therein or a lamp with a reflector behind it.
