Abstract

Insecticidal and acaricidal spraying powders include as auxiliaries for the active agent, a fatty alcohol polyglycol ether and a metal salt of a C8-C25 fatty acid. Specified fatty alcohol polyglycol ethers include the ethers of C8-C25 fatty alcohols containing 2 to 50 glycol radicals, especially those of lauryl, stearyl, palmityl and oleyl alcohols. The preferred metal salts are those of the alkaline earth metals, aluminium, magnesium, zinc, manganese, copper, mercury and iron. A list of suitable active insecticides is included in the Specification. If the active ingredient is liquid a suitable amount of inert material such as kaolin, kieselguhr, bentonite or silicic acid should be present.
