Abstract
A thin magnetic film, for use as a memory or switching device, is formed on a heated glass substrate by vacuum deposition of a nickel-iron alloy while the substrate lies in a magnetic field which varies angularly in the plane of substrate at a non-uniform speed. The film may alternatively be formed by electrolytic decomposition or thermal decomposition. Specification 845,604 is referred to.
