[Also in Group XXXIV] A cup-washer 24, 26 of rubber &c. for a piston 20, 22 of an hydraulic brake cylinder 10 is reinforced at the heel 38 by a ring 44 of fluorocarbon resin to prevent extrusion between the piston and the cylinder wall. The ring is moulded to the washer and is preferably of polytetrafluoroethylene or polytrifluorochloroethylene.
