[Also in Group XXI] A woven panel for fencing or for facing dikes comprises laths 1a arranged close together, laths 1b spaced from each other and crossing the laths 1a, and a wire netting interlaced with the laths and. having wires 2a, 2b. The opposite ends of a panel have respectively projections 3 and 5a, 5b which facilitate joining adjacent panels. The wires 2a of adjacent panels are welded together at the joint between panels. In an alternative joint, the laths 1a are interleaved as shown in Fig. 6, and four cover strips (not shown) are bolted, two on either face of the joint, to register with the ends of the laths la, the bolts passing between the closely spaced wires 2b which are located at the ends of each panel.
