Abstract

869,610. Suspending curtains. PLUMMER, A. Jan. 28, 1959 [Feb. 5, 1958], No. 3724/58. Class 52(5). A moulded plastic curtain suspender comprises an 8-shaped. member 11, having a runner 12 and a flange 16 which is slotted at 20, and a plug 17 having a head 18 which passes through the aperture in the upper part 14 of the member 11 and bears against the flange to clamp the head of a curtain 50 in the slot. Members 11, secured to the curtain at spaced intervals, are inserted in a channel rail 21 having securing flanges 24. Runners 12 may be provided with rollers for co-operation with flanges 23 and in modifications an enlargement at the top of the member has inturned flanges, which may be curved or formed with beads, to engage flanges on an I-section rail.
