Abstract
An anti-friction material comprises 9% to 70% by weight of molybdenum bisulphide or graphite as solid lubricant, 25% to 91% of an epoxy or superpolyamide resin as binding agent and 0,01% to 2% stearic acid or butyl stearate as an auxiliary lubricant. A metal powder may also be present. The exemplified compositions are (1) "Araldite" B ethoxylin resin (the word "Araldite" is a Registered Trade Mark), molybdenum bisulphide, stearic acid and phthalic anhydride as hardening agent for the resin; (2) Rilsan, which is a polyamide prepared from amino-undecanoic acid, molybdenum bisulphide and stearic acid and (3) as in (2) with iron powder replacing part of the resin.ALSO:An anti-friction material, comprising 9 to 70% by weight of molybdenum bisulphide or graphite as solid lubricant, 25 to 91% of an epoxy or superpolyamide resin as binding agent, 0.01 to 2% stearic acid or butyl stearate as an auxiliary lubricant and optionally a metal powder, may be employed in the form of a coating. It may be applied to the surface by means of a "metallisation gun" or spraying pistol.
