Abstract

869,432. Cycle mudguards. PHILLIPS & CO. Ltd., J. A. Oct. 13, 1959 [Oct. 14, 1958], No. 32696/58. Class 136(1). A mudguard stay c is cranked at d so that it may be passed through a hole formed in a mudguard b or in a plate a (Fig. 2) attached to the mudguard, the cranking being so formed that the end of the cranked part d bears against the inner face and the remainder of the part d bears against the outside of the plate a. The other end of the stay c is formed with an eye e for attachment to a wheel spindle. In a modification shown in Fig. 4 more than one cranking is formed in the stay in order to provide an amount of adjustment in attachment.
