Abstract

868,891. Sponge-cleaning devices. O'RORKE H. C. A. Oct. 2, 1959 [Oct. 16, 1958], No. 33107/58. Class 19. A cleaning device has a hand grip comprising two relatively movable actuating arms 10, 11 hinged together at one end 12. The arm 11 has hingedly secured thereto two compressor members 14, 15 between which a cleaning pad 19 is supported. The other arm 10 terminates in a stirrup 13 that is connected to the compressor members by links 17, 18. When the two arms are moved together the pad is compressed.
