Abstract

868,490. Releasable fastenings. TENTEST CO. Ltd. April 9, 1958 [April 9, 1957], No. 11613/57. Class 44. Means for attaching a section rail 1 to a structural member 2 comprises a device having two integral portions 3, 4 in different planes and partly separated by opposed slots 5 in which slots a flange or co-planar flanges 6 of the section rail can be slidably located. As shown, the device comprises a further plate 7 integral with the plate 4 and by which the device is secured to the structural member 2. The device slides on the rail 1, the latter being used to support boards 10. In a modification, Fig. 2 (not shown) the plate 7 includes a portion extending vertically therefrom. In another arrangement, Fig. 3 (not shown), the rail is suspended by a rod which interconnects a pair of devices attached respectively to the rail and the structural member. The device is applicable to inverted T-section rails.
