Abstract

The invention comprises sulphonamidopyridazines of the formula: <FORM:0866786/IV (b)/1> wherein R is hydrogen or a hydrocarbon group of 1-6 carbon atoms e.g. methyl, ethyl or isoamyl. The compounds are prepared by treating a 3-halo-6-amino-pyridazine with p-nitrobenzenesulphonyl chloride and reacting the resulting 6-p-nitrobenzenesulphonamido-3-halopyridazine with thiourea or a compound of the formula RSH in the form of a metal salt e.g. an alkali-metal salt thereof.
