866,591. Distributing seeds or fertilisers. WALLIS, G. L. Sept. 13, 1957 [June 15, 1956], No. 18613/56. Class 6(1). Apparatus for distributing seeds or fertiliser comprises a rotatable roller 3 formed with recesses 4 which contact an arcuate bottom member 2 of a hopper 1, the member 2 being provided with a rectangular opening, the longitudinal edges of which act as scrapers to remove excess material from the recesses. The roller is provided with steel axles 7 for wheels 10, and the axles are mounted in slots and are spring- urged upwardly so that the roller is urged into contact with the member 2. The member 2 may be made of resilient or flexible material.
