A drill bush 10, Fig. 2, is supported by a bearing 16 and rotates with the drill due to a pin or pins 31 engaging the flute or flutes of the drill. The bearing 16 is held against a thrust washer 18 and the bush 10 by a ring 22, and the pin or pins 31 are held in position by a second ring 35, having a slot 36 for engaging the square-head 33 of the pin. The complete arrangement is held together by a nut 38. In a modification the bearing is enclosed in an outer bush 40, Fig. 3, having 0-rings 41 to exclude swarf &c., and the bush 10 is peened-over at the end 45 to secure the arrangements. In a further modification a circlip replaces the nut 38. Figs. 51 on the washer 22b, Fig. 7, which engage with slots 50 on the bush 10 may replace the pin or pins 31. The needlebearing may be replaced by an " Oilite " (Registered Trade Mark) or nylon bearing and the flange 11, Fig. 1, may be replaced by a circlip. The pin 31 or lugs 51 are backed off in the vertical and horizontal planes where they contact the drill, so as to slide easily off the conical end of the drill and enter the flute.
