Abstract

864,559. Electric heating panels. SIMPLEX ELECTRIC CO. Ltd. June 14, 1957 [June 14, 1956], No. 18343/56. Class 39(3). An electric heater comprises a frame-like heating element 12 disposed in an interspace defined by a heat emitting panel 10 having a heat absorbing inner surface and a cover member 13 having a heat reflecting inner surface, e.g. aluminium paint; alternatively or additionally a separate heat reflector 15, e.g. of aluminium or aluminium foil, may be provided between the cover 13 and the element 12. The limbs of the element 12 are each arranged opposite a marginal portion of the panel 10, the lower limb being of zigzag or serpentine form so that the total length of element embodied therein is greater than is the case in respect of the upper limb and the lateral limbs. The heater may be used with the panel 10 vertical or horizontal, supports 20 acting as brackets or feet as required.
