Class 40(6) In a circuit for reducing free charge storage effects in a photo-transistor 1, a diode 4 exhibiting small charge storage is connected in parallel with the collector base-path and has the same reverse direction as the collector-base junction. By this means the collector is prevented from becoming positive with respect to the base. The photo-transistor is switched by a light source 7.
