Abstract

863,358. Gravity-separation apparatus. OZONAIR ENGINEERING CO. Ltd. April 16, 1957 [April 16, 1956], No. 11525/56. Addition to 767,231. Class 46. [Also in Groups XII and XXVIII] Oil sludge collecting in a sump 10 Fig. 1 of a gas filter having an element 11 cleaned by passage thereover of oil, as claimed in the parent Specification, is removed therefrom by a worm 13 which discharges to a space between a ramp 22 Fig. 2 and the lower rim of a conveyer belt 19 having projections 21 and which in turn discharges the sludge on to a screen 26 within a container 25. The so filtered oil is returned to the sump through a duct 27. The conveyers 13, 19 are driven from the source of power driving a travelling curtain of cleaning oil 17 as described in said parent Specification (see Group XXVIII).
