Class 39 (3).'[Also in Group IX] A heating element for apparatus for heating a running yarn F, Fig. 1, of nylon etc. consists of a wire 23, Fig. 4, wound on a core 24 of silicone-varnished fibre glass and covered by a sleeve 25 of the same material, the whole being encased in a chromium-plated copper sleeve 22, Figs. 2, 3, pressed to arcuate form in crosssection. In a modification, twin heating elements 53, are disposed between plates 54, 55, Fig. 7.
