A pannier 5 is fastened at an aside rear position of a motor cycle by means of a pannier bracket of cruciform which consists of intersecting members 6, 7. pivotally connected together at a common point 8 so that their arms can be radially adjusted and secured in selected position directly or indirectly to the back of the pannier 5, the arms 6b, 7b being adapted to be secured to the motor cycle. The members 6, 7 consist of tubes flattened at the points of intersection. A further arm 19 may also be provided.
