Abstract

861,645. Bookends &c. WARD, E. S. W. Oct. 13, 1959 [July 14, 1958], No. 22469/58. Class 52(1). A separator, for book shelves &c. 2 which have vertical flanges 4 inturned at right angles as opposed horizontal flanges 5, has a flat body of springy wire of substantially U-shape with splayed legs 7 having at their upper ends clips each having notches 11 to engage the edges of flanges 5. In a modification Fig. 10 the clip is of E-form with a slot between legs 15 to engage the flange 5. In a further modification Fig. 13 the wire body is replaced by a sheet 18 having clips 17 detachably secured to its top corners and slotted at 20 to admit sheet 18 which has a rolled edge 17, and a slot 21 to engage flange 5.
