Abstract
861,148. Shelving. WEBER & SOHN, A. Dec. 24, 1958 [Dec. 27, 1957; March 28, 1958], No. 41622/58. Class 52(1). [Also in Group XVIII] In a display stand or shelving having glass boundary walls and glass partitions the fastening device for the glass panels includes a support channel 1 having upstanding walls 1b, 1 c between which is a glass boundary wall 3 held by a clamping strip 4 and screws 5, a notched arm 4b retaining within its notches the lower part of a glass partition 7. A metal base plate 6 rests with its edges clamped between strip 4 and a step part of wall 1c. A saddle member 8 comprising a notched flange 8a and clamped astride the wall 3 by a resilient part 8b may be provided. In modifications screws 5 and resilient part 8b are replaced by leaf springs, and a lining of resilient material may be clamped between wall 3 and strip 4.
