Abstract
860,590. Heating films by electric fields. AGFA, A. G. May 15, 1957 [May, 15, 1956], No. 15444/57. Class 39 (3). [Also in Group XX]. A photographic film is heated during imagewise exposure to light by means of a high frequency electric field. As shown in Fig. 2, a series of parallel wires h is arranged in front of the film c and an electrode f with loops i, i 2 is arranged behind the film, and the field is applied between the wires and the electrode. The grid of wires h may be displaced during exposure. In another arrangement the field is applied between two spaced electrodes on the front surface of the film, or one on either side of the film.
