Abstract

860,209. Rail pads. SPENCER MOULTON & CO. Ltd., G. March 3, 1959 [March 13, 1958], No. 8105/58. Class 104(2). In a resilient rail pad A formed on both main faces with grooves B and E, that are at least as deep as they are wide, each groove B and E is radiused at C between the vertical side and base of the groove. The edges of the grooves B and E, where they merge with the pad surface, are similarly radiused at D. The grooves B on one main face may be in staggered relationship to the grooves E on the other main face or alternatively, they may be at tight-angles to one another. The grooves B may extend the whole length of the pad and the grooves E terminate in locating shoulders F, G.
