Abstract

858,828. Lubricating. VOITH G.m.b.H., J. M. March 26, 1959 [May 17, 1958], No. 10714/59. Class 12 (3). Adjacent conical roller-bearings 2, 3, supporting a shaft 1, are substantially sealed off from one another by an intermediate ring 4 and are lubricated by oil from a reservoir 7 which is conveyed by the centrifugal action of the rollers 2 to the space 8, from which it passes through conduits 11, 12 to the space adjacent the smaller ends of the rollers 3. The oil is then conveyed by the rollers 3 to a space 9 from which it passes through conduits 14, 15 in the housing 16 to an oil reservoir or further lubrication points.
