Abstract

858,151. Dishwashing machines. INSULEX Ltd. Sept. 9, 1959 [Sept. 9, 1958], No. 28939/58. Class 138(1). A dishwashing machine comprises an openwork basket 11 for supporting the dishes above a rotary spraying device for cleaning liquid and comprising spray orifices at the ends 36, 38 of a tube 35 rotatably mounted at its middle, and on the end of a tube 30 rotatable about its other end. Hot water is supplied through a fined pipe and receives detergent from a container 21 before passing through the head 26 to the tube 35 and the spray orifices. The end 36 of the tube 35 has a single inclined spray orifice, whilst the end 38 has a vertical orifice 39 and an inclined orifice 40, the reaction produced by the inclined jets discharged from the orifices 37, 40 causing the tubes 30, 35 to rotate. The quantity of detergent placed in the container 21 may be selected so that it is completely used during a single washing operation whereby a continued flow of water effects rinsing.
